SENSOR DDS® CMS represents the most advanced geo-electrical system for continuous 24/7 integrity monitoring of waterproofing liners and geomembranes. The system is designed to automatically detect the occurrence of a leak and at the same time precisely identify the location where the defect has occurred.
Unlike solutions that require scheduled measurements or technician intervention, CMS operates fully automatically and continuously. The waterproofing system is monitored in real time and, if liner damage occurs, the system immediately evaluates the leak and alerts the responsible persons via alarm, SMS or email.
The detection system is complemented by a monitoring centre that collects and evaluates all data from the sensors. The control panel can be located directly in the technical room of the structure or in an external monitoring kiosk adapted for demanding operating conditions.
The system is based on robust SENSOR detection tiles installed between two geomembrane layers – for example HDPE, PVC or bituminous liners. These tiles divide the monitored area into individual sectors that are permanently controlled. This makes it possible to identify the area where damage to the waterproofing layer has occurred very quickly.
When this system is used in a single-liner waterproofing system, the sensor network – typically installed in a 5 × 5 m grid – is placed directly beneath the waterproofing liner, similarly to LMS or RMS systems. This solution enables continuous monitoring of the geomembrane condition and immediate detection of any damage or leak occurrence.
The monitoring system then provides 24/7 geomembrane control, continuously throughout the entire service life of the structure. Thanks to permanent supervision, waterproofing defects can be identified early, the exact location of damage can be determined and the risk of water ingress into the building structure can be minimised. This system significantly increases structural safety, extends the service life of the waterproofing system and reduces the cost of subsequent repairs and remediation.
